An alarm with no snooze button
The alarm you can’t snooze.
No snooze button, no stop button, no dismiss. The alarm ends one way: you walk out of a small zone around your home. Then the morning is yours.
Your first 7 mornings are free. iPhone and Android.

Why the snooze button wins
Every snooze is a small decision made half asleep, and half asleep you choose the bed. Nine minutes later you make the same decision again, more tired than before.
Willpower at 6:30 is the wrong tool. Taking the decision away works better: if there is no button to press, there is nothing to decide.
How it takes the button away
UpandOut rings loud from the first second, with the buzz. On Android it takes over the screen until you are out. On iPhone, leaving for another app brings it straight back.
Slide to start and take a few steps, and it goes quiet while you get dressed. Keep walking and it stays quiet. Cross the line of your zone, usually 100 to 300 metres, roughly the end of the street, and the alarm ends.
And the truly bad nights?
Three snoozes a month are free, five to thirty minutes each, your pick when it fires. The alarm still only ends outside. If you are ill, raise a white flag before the alarm and the morning is skipped without breaking your streak.
Questions
Can I turn it off without walking?
No. There is no stop button. On Android the alarm keeps the screen until you are out of the zone; on iPhone it comes straight back if you leave the app.
How far do I have to walk?
As far as the zone you set. Most people pick 100 to 300 metres. You can make it smaller for the morning after a late night.
What does it cost?
Your first 7 mornings are free. Then $59.99 a year, with the first year at $29.99 while the launch offer runs, or $9.99 a month.
Tomorrow morning, then.
